Bearded Tit - Panurus biarmicus

The Bearded Tit sometimes called the Bearded Reedling is not actually a Tit at all but belongs to a family called Panuridae; so far no other bird has been identified as belonging to that family which makes the Bearded Tit a unique bird.
It is most often heard in dense reedbeds before it is seen with it's loud metallic 'pinging' call. It is a distinctive bird unlikely to be confused with any other, especially due to it's localised and known breeding areas
