About the photographer George Cox

I am a very enthusiastic amateur wildlife and landscape photographer based near Derby in the UK, close to the beautiful Peak District.

My early childhood days were mostly spent outside (it was always sunny in my memories!) watching and catching butterflies and it was from this interest that I started to observe and breed them. I now have a passion for conservation and belong to Butterfly Conservation, RSPB and Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.

My photography also developed from this interest and through my images I very much hope that I can share some of my enthusiasm and passion for our wildlife. I specialise in butterfly photography but enjoy wildlife in all its forms.

I hope that you enjoy looking at my images as much as I enjoyed making them and if you have any comments or questions please feel free to contact me here.
