Peak District Weekend

18th November 2010
In: Trips
Great time in the Peak district last weekend - stayed near Hartington and managed three days of walking and photography as the weather was very kind (cold but beautiful!)

Surprisingly after visiting Tittesworth reservoir where there were loads of little birds from the hide we found a flock of about 18 Waxwings on an industrial estate in Leek!

What beautiful birds! Saw them on Friday when the light was going but on Saturday we went back when the sun was bright and the sky cloudless.

Pictures now on the website - waxwings and a bullfinch.
