Sulphur tuft fungi often appears in large clusters on fallen branches of old tree stumps (deciduous or coniferous). The caps are sulphur yellow coloured at the edge and more orange towards the peak. The gills and stems are yellow too. The stems are often curved. The spores are purple-brown in colour.
